"Overall, I genuinely enjoyed this course. It respects both my professional role as a professional counselor and my personal experience as a homeschooling parent and Hispanic. I would recommend it to other clinicians who want to deepen their understanding of homeschooling families while practicing in an ethical, culturally responsive manner."

Ready to make a difference!  It is so brilliant to have educational requirements to join this community! I am an LPC, former school counselor and educator, who's focus is parent education through an ADHD lens using a person and child-centered approach. The educational modules were extremely informative, and I enjoyed them greatly. I can't wait to be an active part of this wonderful group!

I just finished the course "Working With Homeschooling Families: Cultural Responsiveness, Ethics, & Best Practices."  I am a former public school educator, veteran homeschool mom since 2008 and homeschool mentor since 2020.  This course is exactly what is missing between mental health, educational and developmental service providers and homeschool families.  Many providers don't understand the unique needs and family cultures of homeschoolers and it often prevents parents from initiating services.  This course is unbiased, research-based and a solution to the gap in parents and kids getting the help they need.
